MOVING YOUR HOME
Moving house can be a hectic time, and we believe that careful planning is essential to ensure that your move goes smoothly. PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATIONS
Atlas of London is proud to be a member of the National Guild of Removers and Storers, and we are thereby accredited to the National Registrar of Approved Removers and Storers (ROARS). Atlas of London are also monitored and accredited under the Ombudsman Accredited Inspection Programme, which ensures a high level of quality assurance and security for all our customers. Further accreditations include the RHA (Road Haulage Association) and FSB (Federation of Small Businesses).

UNIFORMS
All our staff wear smart uniforms bearing the Atlas logo, and carry Atlas identification. Our uniform policy is designed not only to reflect the professional conduct and friendly manner of our staff, but also to provide peace of mind to you, the customer.
PACKING
Packing is crucial to a good move, and we can advise you on the best way to undertake the packing of items by yourself if required. We recommend that you take advantage of our full packing service, which we believe to be the best anywhere in the business.

We only use packing materials that have been developed specifically, together with metal hanging-rails for clothing and industrial strength cartons for folded clothing, linen, china, glassware, books and wine.

Packing is one part of your move that should not be neglected, as it is fundamental to the safe transfer of your effects.

DE-CLUTTER FACILITY (storage)

In addition to our full- and part-packing services, Atlas of London also offer a de-cluttering facility that is designed to aid the house-selling process. We inevitably accumulate more belongings in our homes than we really have adequate space to store. The fact is that the fewer items in a room, the greater the sense of space is enhanced; therefore, an un-cluttered house is essential when it comes to selling your home.

Atlas of London’s de-cluttering service helps you prepare to sell your home; our team of movers will clear all but the most vital pieces from your house (especially garages, sheds and spare bedrooms) in advance of home valuations or showings. Your belongings are safely stored in one of Atlas’s storage facilities until your current home is sold and you are ready to move your belongings into your new property.

DISPOSAL
If you are moving or de-cluttering your house and there are items that you no longer need, Atlas can arrange, for a fee, to pick up and dispose of your goods in a responsible manner at a council-designated disposal site.
Payment of Removal Charges
Unless you have our written agreement to the contrary you must pay us in cleared funds in advance of the removal and may not withhold any part of the agreed price.

We reserve the right to terminate the contract and withhold our services if payment is not received before the removal date. Failure to comply with our payment terms will also mean that we will not insure liability for your goods.

Interest at 2% per month, calculated on a daily basis, is charged on all overdue accounts.

Methods of Payment
Personal cheque:
At point of booking, or no less than 10 days prior to removal

Credit / Debit card:      (2% booking fee)         
At point of booking, or no less than 10 days prior to removal

Bankers Draft /
Building society cheque:
At point of booking or no less than 10 days prior to removal

Postponements/Cancellations
If you postpone or cancel your contract we may charge you according to how
much notice you provide prior to the agreed removal date:-

Between: 4-7 days: 50% of the total removal charge
  3 days: 75% of the total removal charge
  1-2 days:  90% of the total removal charge
  Less than 24 hours: 100% of the total removal charge
